Our studio teamed up with Sarah Strausser of Embark Event Design to showcase this stunning venue for couples who are getting married, or who want a few tips on how to get married, at Klentner Ranch in Carpenteria near Santa Barbara, California.
FROM EMBARK EVENT DESIGN
“Klentner Ranch is the perfect location for a dreamy, Santa Barbara wedding weekend. The ranch – which is also a working polo field – sits on the Santa Barbara hillside, overlooking the city and even offering an ocean view. Guests will marvel at the impressive lawn that serves as a perfect place for ceremony and dinner, including a staircase that makes for the most epic grand entrance!
As a wedding planner, what I love most about this space is the natural and organic property flow. Guests can enjoy cocktails with a sweeping coastal view up in the courtyard and then head down to the lawn for a dinner on the rolling polo field. Flow and spacial relation are crucial to designing a seamless and unforgettable wedding, and Klentner Ranch offers the perfect space to make it happen.”
FROM OUR STUDIO
“As photographers, we love the versatility of this property for photos. For the couple that cares about the atmosphere and having that reflected in their images, Klentner Ranch checks all the boxes. With sweeping views of the ocean, this is a picturesque scene! We love how the space has a variety of photo locations, from an open polo field set against the mountains to classic mansion walls.
An often overlooked aspect of a wedding day location is where the couple gets ready. To capture photos that really highlight the anticipation and excitement of the wedding morning, it’s essential to have a space that has beautiful light and plenty of room for the wedding party to join in. Klentner offers two areas that work perfectly. One with a dark, masculine feel complete with a bar, and another cottage with a bright and airy atmosphere. Both offer beautiful light making it ideal for photos of the getting ready process, as well as plenty of space to relax and enjoy the morning.”
Thank you, Sarah! We always love hearing from you. If you want more tips on how to get married at Klentner Ranch, inquire with them and set up a tour here. A few good things to note: they are currently booked for summer and fall of 2020 but have plenty of availability in 2021. They also require two weeks between each event they take on to ensure the grounds are looking perfect and the venue retains its exclusive charm.
