Topa Mountain Winery Wedding
Ready for the most unique internet love story yet in this Topa Mountain Winery wedding? Jasmine + Tyler met on Twitter! Although they both attended California State University, Channel Islands around the same time, they didn’t really meet as students. It took a snappy tweet a few years later to bring these two together. Bumble, watch your back. There’s a new dating app on the scene. Jasmine + Tyler’s intimate Ojai wedding had a neon, bohemian decor vibe with TONS of florals and a laid back outdoor ceremony + reception.
As Santa Barbara wedding photographers, Ojai is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from us, and we LOVE Topa Mountain Winery weddings! This venue has it all–we love the epic views at sunset when the Topa Topa Mountains turn their signature pink, the ceremony spot in the vineyards, and the reception area just a few steps away.
Topa Mountain Winery has so many incredible spots for photos on a wedding day, including a brand new mural featuring Matilija Poppies by local artist, David Flores! This mural was the perfect backdrop for the bohemian and neon elements of Jasmine + Tyler’s wedding. Although the mural was just painted a week before their wedding, it complemented their day perfectly and felt like the inspiration for the feel of the day (We’ve got photo evidence to prove it)!
Jasmine’s dress deserves a moment of recognition–this amazing bride designed it herself! After searching bridal shops for her dream dress, she felt like they all fell short. Not one to be discouraged, Jasmine created her own jaw-dropping ensemble. With lace providing a soft, feminine feel, she added bell sleeves to an empire waist silhouette. Paired with a statement bridal headpiece, some kicking white boots, and socks that featured Tyler’s face (!!!), Jasmine was a total bridal babe. Because her dress was slim and made from such lightweight material, she had no problem dancing the night away on a warm Ojai night! Tyler’s forest green suit complimented Jasmine’s outfit perfectly, but our favorite part of his attire was socks patterned with, you guessed it, photos of Jasmine’s gorgeous face.
Fleur de Rye, a close friend of Jasmine and Tyler, gifted them with a stunning ceremony backdrop overflowing with bougainvillea and orange carnations. She also bedecked Topa Mountain Winery’s massive photo frame, adding some extra pizzazz to the cocktail area. Jasmine’s mom is also an incredible florist and designed all the centerpiece arrangements and additional florals around the reception area. The women of this family are so talented–we can’t get over it! The abundance of florals added so much color to their wedding day, and the bright palette made our hearts beat a little faster.
Before she met Tyler, Jasmine was out one night and heard the dulcet tones of one singer/songwriter, Mike Moody, at a local venue. She told her friends, “that’s who’s going to sing at my wedding one day” and got his contact info after the show. After getting engaged, one of the first vendors she booked was… you guessed it, Mike Moody. His beautiful voice and talented guitar skills sang her down the aisle. How sweet is that?!
