It may be February, but we have some spring engagement photos in Santa Barbara coming your way! This magical session is what happens when an east coast architect and the owner of a west coast boutique creative studio meet on top of the Empire State Building in NYC. Seriously! Natalie was getting a tour of her cousin’s office, and an introduction to Evan turned into dinner and a night on the town. After a few bi-coastal moves, Natalie + Evan are now west coast locals. We can’t wait for their wedding at Hummingbird Nest Ranch this fall.Evan proposed to Natalie in the secret garden located on the grounds of a beautiful church in the West Village of NYC. He jumbled his words and eventually asked her to marry him. In Natalie’s own words, “it was perfect.”Engagement sessions really are the BEST way to cut the photo awkwardness (that we all feel in front of the lens) and learn how good you really look in front of our cameras together. Hint–you’ll look good. Real good. One of our favorite ways to add some fun and really ease our couples into getting cuddly in front of the camera is a playlist of their favorite bands. For Natalie + Evan, that meant some 90’s summer hits floating through the air, as we walked along the coastal bluffs and snapped photos in the glowing light of the setting sun.
After strolling down to the beach, we popped a bottle of champagne and chased the waves as the last rays of light cast that translucent pink glow upon the landscape. We’re all about keeping engagement sessions secluded so you can relax, have fun, and really just soak in the experience without curious eyes. This little beach off the Carpenteria bluffs sure hit the spot! These spring engagement photos in Santa Barbara really capture the magic of the coast, don’t you think?
